MASTER PLAN

Venue #1: "HERA"
The goddess of women, marriage, family, and childbirth in ancient Greek religion and myth, one of the Twelve Olympians and the sister-wife of Zeus. A temple of Hera existed in the area of the Venue during ancient times.

The following sports – all related to water - will be held at the Venue:
- Rowing Beach Sprint from the 25th to the 27th of August 2019 in FOP 1
- Canoe Ocean Racing at the 28th of August 2019 in FOP 1
- Aquathlon at the 31st of August 2019 in FOP 1
- Fin Swimming – Open Water Categories – at the 28th of August 2019 in FOP 2
- Open Water Swimming from the 29th to the 30th of August 2019 in FOP 2
- Water Ski from the 29th to the 31st of August 2019 in FOP 2

The slalom discipline of Water Skiing will take place in Lake Stratos. This lake is the National Water Ski Center, of the Hellenic Water Ski & Wakeboard Federation. In these modern facilities, the elite athletes of the National Team of Water Skiing are trained all year long. At Stratos lake international and National Championships have been held, with great success. In 1999 the European Youth Ski Championship and in 2000, the top event of the sport, the World Youth Championship took place. In Stratos lake, with appropriate interventions, we have the possibility of simultaneous training of three disciplines, in the three separate water ski courses. The National Center for Water Skiing at lake Stratos is the most complete installation of Water Ski that with the ideal "water conditions" is considered one of the best places for training and competition in Europe.
Venue #2: "ARTEMIS"
Artemis, in the ancient Greek religion and myth, is the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, and chastity.
The following sports – all related to sand – will be held in the Venue:
- Beach Handball from the 25th to the 28th of August 2019 in FOPs 1 & 2
- Beach Soccer from the 28th to the 31st of August 2019 in FOPs 1 & 2
- Beach Tennis from the 25th to the 27th of August 2019 in FOPs 4, 5 & 6
- Beach Volleyball from the 28th to the 31st of August 2019 in FOPs 4, 5 & 6
- Beach Wrestling from the 30th to 31st of August 2019 in FOP 3

Venue #3: "A. PEPANOS"
Antonios Pepanos was a Greek athlete of swimming, born in 1866 in Patras. At the time he was recognized as the top swimmer of the country and took the lead in all the local matches he had participated in. In 1896, at the 1st Modern Olympic Games in Athens, he was declared second Olympic champion in 500 meters swimming.

The following sport will be held in the Venue:
- Finswimming – Swimming Pool Categories - from the 26th to the 27th of August 2019 in FOP 1
Furthermore, in the perimeter of the Aquatics Center is Training Site 1 which will be a training field for Beach Handball, Beach Tennis, Beach Volley and Beach Soccer.
