Kiklopes Alexandroupolis and Spartakos Evosmou Goalbet will have the opportunity to be crowned champions and further consolidate their undisputed dominance on the sand.

The final phase of the 20th Panhellenic Beach Handball Championship, which is also a Test Event of the II Mediterranean Beach Games (August 25-31), comes to an end tonight at the main arena of the “Artemis” venue, next to the Aquatic Centre of NOP. Kiklopes and Olympios Dias Aspropyrgou will face each other in the men’s Final-4 final, with the team from Alexandroupolis bidding for its fourth consecutive title and fifth since 2014.

In yesterday’s semifinals, Kiklopes beat Apollon Stavroupolis 2-0 (15-14, 17-12) and qualified for the final for the sixth consecutive season, while Olympios Dias survived in a thriller against Greek Cup winners Apollon Kalamarias. Aspropyrgos won the match 2-1, beating their opponents in the shoot-out set (20-21, 24-18, 5-2) and also got revenge for their defeat in the Cup final.

“We have one more match left to be crowned champions and the motivation is huge, especially in such a beautiful arena” commented Kiklopes player Evangelos Kovlakas.

On the other hand, Olympios Dias coach Giorgos Eleftheriadis said: “Kiklopes are very strong and have won four titles, but we will play as a family and hope we can achieve our goal”
