Beach Soccer: Italy for gold, France for bronze

Italy will be one of the two finalists in tomorrow's (31/8) Beach Soccer final, after comfortably beating Albania 15-0, as expected, topping Group B.

The game proved to be more of a training session for the Azzuri, who are defending their title (Pescara 2015) and had no difficulty in overcoming the Albanians.

Emmanuele ZURLO scored six goals for Italy, three for Pietro Angelo PALAZZOLO, two for Marcello PERCIA MONTANI, two for Francesco SCIACCA and one for Andrea CARPITA, Simone MARINAI.

Score per period: 7-0, 6-0, 2-0

In the game that preceded Libya, came close to causing an upset, but France, on a bad day, won 6-5 and will play in the bronze medal match tomorrow.

The "Bleus" led 6-3, but their opponents scored two goals and pushed them to the end.

Victor ANGELLETI, Stephane BELHOMME, Jeremy BRU, Maxime LEGAL, Dionizio Santos Dias, Anthony FAYOS were on the score sheet for the French.

For the Libyan team, Islam ALABIDI scored two goals and Mohammed Abdullah, Waled Rahoumah, Quentin GOSSELIN one each.

Score per period: 2-3, 0-2, 3-1.

Final Standings Group B:  Italy 9, France 6, Libya 3, Albania 0.
