French Beach Volleyball players were so excited about their domination in both Men's and Women's tournaments of the II Mediterranean Beach Games as to demonstrate their Syrtaki skills in the finale of yesterday's thrilling evening.

After the medal award ceremonies, the six French athletes stepped up all together on the podium and gave their own dancing show, receiving a standing ovation from the public of a full house in the "Artemis" Venue.

Men's gold medalists Olivier BARTHELEMY and Arnaud LOISEAU, Women's gold medalists Αline CHAMEREAU and Alexandra JUPITER, and Men's silver medalists Timothee PLATRE and Jeremy SILVESTRE looked like enjoying their own show more than anyone else.

When Mikis Theodorakis' famous "Zorba the Greek" music started storming out of the loudspeakers, the six athletes put their arms on each other's shoulders and started the Syrtaki dance.

"Oh, Syrtaki! Such wonderful and enchanting music! You listen to it and you just want to get up and dance. If medals were awarded to host cities, I would give the gold with both hands to Patra and its people, no doubt about it," JUPITER said, ecstatic.
