Two of Beach Soccer's great forces worldwide will claim the gold medal at the Mediterranean Beach Games Tournament tomorrow (31/8, 13.15).
Title holders, Italy with three wins in a row, finished on top of Group B, confirming their status as title favorites.
Portugal were not affected by the two points they dropped in the match against Morocco and qualified for the final with two straight wins.
The Portuguese have swept the Beach Soccer titles, winning the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup once, five times the Euro Beach Soccer League, the Beach Soccer World Championship once, and seven times the Euro Beach Soccer Cup.
The Italians have won two Euro Beach Soccer League titles (2005, 2018) and have an excellent squad that will strive to hold the reins, despite the absence of their top player, 20-year-old Gabriele GORI, who belongs to Fiorentina and is currently on loan man to Livorno (Serie B).
